Lorien Hunter is a writer, researcher, and former stripper who currently lives in Eureka, California. In 2017, she earned her Ph.D. in media studies from the University of Southern California, where she examined digital media, popular culture and community formation, specializing in sub-Saharan Africa. She founded The In-between column for Bi.org in May of 2018, where she explored her experiences as a biracial bi woman occupying the spaces between worlds. Today, this column can be found at Queer Majority. Lorien served as Editor-in-chief of Queer Majority for two years.
